Planning Consent Granted for New Industrial Unit Development at Riverside Enterprise Park, Saxilby

West Lindsey District Council have granted detailed planning consent for a new industrial development of small and medium sized units at Riverside Enterprise Park, Saxilby to Stirlin Developments and their partner, Castle Square Securities.

The scheme, which will provide high quality industrial units of between 1,000 and 10,600 sq ft will soon start under construction and, at the time of writing, approximately 70% of the scheme has already been pre-sold to local companies.

James Kirby of Stirlin Developments comments, “In an ever strengthening market, the timing of this planning approval couldn’t have been better. Enquiries for quality, freehold commercial property are on the increase, and this development in particular is receiving enquiries on a daily basis. The high percentage of presale commitment, confirms that this prominent, conveniently located site, meets the needs of forward thinking and successful business owners”.

Jeremy Hoare of Hodgson Elkington, agents for the scheme comments, “The scheme will provide welcome new high quality industrial units in a popular location which is going to develop over time into a high quality business park as the scheme evolves.

We expect to see the remaining units under offer soon and we are already seeing strong interest for the following phases on the site”.

Kieran Would of Agrigem, who have already committed to 5,000 sq ft of the new development is also pleased to be relocating his growing business, Agrigem, to the park and comments, “We wanted to buy a freehold, industrial unit which would allow our business to grow. When we started looking we realised we were very limited with available properties within a 30mile radius of Lincoln as many of them were in an undesired location or not fit for purpose. Using land next to railway stations and in particular brownfield land to create housing seems an obvious move in terms of sustainability and the Hamptons article in The Times yesterday highlights the beneficial impact this could have.

Whilst the development opportunities around Lincoln may not be able to match the housing numbers of the major cities we were once again pleased to see how close the Leafbridge planning application, for housing on the brownfield land behind North Hykeham Station, is to current Government thinking and the emerging revisions to planning guidance.

Leafbridge – Site clearance and levelling gets under way

Work has commenced to clear our 6 acre development site named Leafbridge Court. Planning was approved back in July 2014 for an employment development of 24,000 sqft for the use of B1 business.

The site is now being prepared for development with overgrown and out of control undergrowth being cleared firstly before levelling of the sub base.
